2.1 Description
MealsAIQ is an AI-powered weekly meal planning service that generates personalized dinner plans, recipes, shopping lists, and calendar exports based on your household's dietary needs, preferences, and scheduling constraints.
2.2 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Important: All meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, and related content generated by the Service are produced with the assistance of artificial intelligence. While we fetch real recipes from trusted, open-access sources when possible, AI-assisted content may be adapted, paraphrased, or in some cases written from general knowledge rather than a verified source. Recipe outputs may differ from original source recipes. Ingredient quantities, cooking times, and techniques may be inaccurate. You are solely responsible for verifying all recipes before preparing and serving food to your household.
2.3 Allergy and Dietary Restriction Disclaimer
Critical Safety Notice: MealsAIQ is not a medical device and does not provide medical or nutritional advice. The Service uses AI to attempt to identify and avoid ingredients based on the dietary restrictions you enter, but this process is not infallible. Do not rely solely on this Service to manage life-threatening food allergies or serious dietary medical conditions. Always independently verify ingredients in all recipes and purchased food items. The Company expressly disclaims all liability for allergic reactions, adverse health events, or other harm arising from use of AI-generated meal plans, recipes, or shopping lists.
2.4 Nutritional Information
The Service does not provide certified nutritional analysis. Any nutritional guidance offered is general in nature, AI-generated, and not a substitute for advice from a registered dietitian, nutritionist, or healthcare provider.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms
4. Subscriptions and Payment
4.1 Subscription Plans
Access to the Service may require a paid subscription. Current pricing is displayed on the Service website. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
4.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected). Billing is processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
4.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
4.4 Refunds
We offer a 7-day refund on your first subscription payment if you are unsatisfied with the Service. After 7 days, all payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. To request a refund, contact [email protected] within 7 days of your initial payment.
4.5 Free Trial
We may offer free trial periods at our discretion. At the end of a free trial, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service by automated means
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to the Service without written permission
- Submit false, misleading, or malicious content to the Service
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
- Use the Service in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the Service or its users
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Property
The MealsAIQ name, logo, website design, and underlying software are the intellectual property of NAR LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks or branding without prior written permission.
6.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the family profile data and other information you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use that content solely to provide the Service to you.
6.3 Generated Content
AI-generated and AI-adapted meal plans, recipes, and shopping lists produced by the Service are provided for your personal, non-commercial household use. Recipe content may be sourced from, inspired by, or derived from publicly available culinary sources, with original sources cited where available. We make no warranty regarding the originality of AI-generated content.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service integrates with and may link to third-party services including Anthropic, Clerk, Supabase, Stripe, Google, and others, as well as external recipe websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services or websites. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
8.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
8.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NAR LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

The disclaimers and limitations of liability in this section are an essential basis of the agreement between you and us. The Service would not be provided without these limitations.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NAR LLC and its officers, members, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11.2 Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
11.3 Jurisdiction
Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Baltimore, Maryland, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
11.4 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by posting a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
13. Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction
- No Agency: Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, or employment relationship between you and us
